When we build our baseline level of mindful awareness skills, we become happier and more effective humans.
When we understand how any form of mindfulness practice builds these skills, we become versatile and resilient meditators.
When we realize that any experience at all can be an opportunity to build these skills, we can integrate mindful awareness throughout daily life.
Charlie has been practicing the Unified Mindfulness system since 2009 and began teaching it in 2013. He was first trained directly by Shinzen Young, and is now a certified Unified Mindfulness coach. Charlie has helped people apply mindfulness to manage work- and family-related stress, process chronic pain, engage with greater compassion, overcome mental and behavioral habits, enhance athletic performance, and much more. His work specializes in helping families and teachers cultivate and apply mindfulness skills to their interactions with children, creating harmonious relationships and nurturing social-emotional growth.
As an experienced early childhood educator, Charlie has dedicated much of his career to developing innovative methods for integrating mindfulness into preschool teaching pedagogy. In 2020, he wrote The U School Lexicon, a groundbreaking guide to communication, empathy, and executive function in educational and home settings.
Charlie loves talking about meditation with anyone, and he does so with compassion, clarity, and insight.
